Guns,Germs, and Steel

We watched Guns Germs and Steel in class and in the movie we say how the New Guineans were a lot different in their way of living than we are. Years ago when the whites came over, they filled their heads up with saying the white people are a lot better because it was something in their jeans. This was no where near true. No one is better than anyone else. But the New Guineans could survive a lot better in the wilderness than anyone else because they know what they need to do in order to eat, and they cam also build their own homes. We also learned about this tree called a Saigo tree. This tree is the source of food for the new Guineans. They break the tree open and take a substance outside of the tree and they make dough out of it. This isn't healthy at all for the New Guineans because it is a lot of starch in it and has no source of proteins.
