Today we finished the last of the presentations. Then at the end of class, Mr. Schick did one of his power point's that we need to study from. We learned that Socrates was charged with serious crimes. One was impiety, which means he disrespected the Gods and corrupting the youth of Athens. At the trial he described himself as a horse fly and Athens as a lazy horse. He did not deny what he did at all. Plato was one of his students who wrote out Socrates' teachings and described his trial in Apology. Aristotle, one of Plato's students, Helped foster the idea of Athens as a n intellectual destination. He also built a school called The Lyceum.
